Dear Fellow Members of The Great Britain-Russia Society
This is just to remind you that our first lecture in 2017, the centenary year of the Russian Revolution, takes place at Pushkin House this Thursday January 19th.
The title of this illustrated lecture is “White Russian Refugees in Constantinople 1918-1923”. Our guest speaker, Mr. Edward CHarlton-Jones is a first class Honours Graduate in History from the University of Oxford, an experienced debater from the Oxford Union, and with a Masters Degree from Harvard. He has also worked with the UN refugee agency UNHCR in Tbilisi, Georgia,
This subject of rhis talk, with some fantastic pictures, to the best of my knowledge, has never been given to this Society, or to any of its predecessors.
If you have not booked already, I strongly recommend that you book now. and I am confident that we shall all be in for a real treat! Secure the last few remaining seats while they are still available. And there no rail strikes planned for this week.
Best wishes to You All
