Dear Members and Friends of the Russian Speaking Society,
Last Thursday some of us seized the opportunity to listen to
“Russkaya muzyka” in Clare College (the concert organised by Rossica). It
was extremely impressive. Folk Russian and Ukrainian songs from the 18th
century were performed in the authentic manner, with so much brightness,
that you could almost physically feel the exuberant vastness of Russian
land, green meadows and valleys… Watch out for them – I hope they will

WHERE: Hills Rd Sixth Form College.
WHEN: Saturday 14th June, 10am-4pm, £35.
During the day there will be lots of language practice in a relaxed
atmosphere as well as the opportunity to explore the culture and customs of

· Near beginners (real beginners are, apparently, discouraged)
