Ambassador of Kazakhstan

I am delighted to welcome you to the concert of the world-famous Bekova
Trio. As the Ambassador of Kazakhstan I am very proud to be associated
with the Bekova sisters Elvira, Eleonora and Alfia. They are not only
contributing to the world music heritage but they also promote greatly
the image of our country, its cultural and human potential.

I hope that this event will serve to develop cultural ties between
Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom even further. I would be extremely
happy to see them flourish as in the areas of diplomacy and economy
where we have developed a lively bilateral dialogue.

This concert was made possible through the generous support of the
British-Kazakh Society, the Informa Group, plc, and Kazakhstan Foreign
Investors Consortium. Taking this opportunity I would like to express
our sincere gratitude to them.

I would also like to thank all of you for your support of this concert,
which falls under a series of cultural events organized by the
British-Kazakh Society, and hope that its membership will grow
significantly through the events such as this one.

Yours sincerely,

Erlan Idrissov

Ambassador of Kazakhstan

The Bekovas are also known for their outstanding arrangements for piano
