Message from World Monuments Fund
Brook Horowitz suggested you might consider sending the following information about the screening of a film to your electronic circulation list of the GB-Russia Society. We would appreciate any help you might be willing to give. And for your efforts I would like to offer you a complimentary ticket – do let me know if you can attend. With thanks. Cathy
The World Monuments Fund In Britain is presenting a private screening of Director Rustam Khamdaov's 'Parallel Voice' on 2nd December 2005 . A cult filmmaker from as early as the 1960s, Khamdaov has refused to compromise. Soviet authorities banned two of his early films, and in recent years his creative output has been restrained by a torturing perfectionism. Finally, 'Parallel Voices'– 10 yrs in the making — is a rare reminder of Khamadov's beautiful and idiosyncratic talent, and has already initiated a re-evaluation of the artistic inheritance of many of Russia's more modish filmmakers.
For complete details on the screening, party and ticket information, please visit:
A reception sponsored by Ivan the Terrible vodka follows the screening.
Proceeds from the screening aid our mission to preserve the Russia's architectural heritage.
