The previous e-mail was a picture embedded in an html text which I didn't

An exhibition of works by Varvara Bracho
at the Ice House Gallery in Holland Park
1-16 April 2005, 11am – 7pm daily
Varvara Kryvchenkova de Bracho graduated from the Surikov State Arts
Institute in Moscow in 1994 and has shown her work in highly acclaimed
solo and joint exhibitions in London and Moscow including at the Manezh
and the Central House of Artists. Her work is held in private collections
in Russia, Mexico, UK, Japan, Germany, France, Spain, USA, South Africa
and other countries. Her bright and vivid portraits, landscapes and flower
paintings combine Russian 20th century experimentation with the tradition
of primitivism of the painting of Mexico, her adopted country. Currently
resident in Paris, she combines the vivacity and luxuriant colours of
Latin America with a Russian introspection, producing work of originality
and charm.
