I am a Norwegian writer/historian who is doing research about the
Norwegian born
general Ivan Holmsen (1865-1941) in the Imperial Russian Army. After the
bolsjevik revolution he left Russia and became the president of the ex
Russian
servicemen in exile outside Russia. General Holmsen was married to one of
the
daughters of the Governor General of Finland, general Bobrikov. I am
specially
interested in information about the general for the periode between 1920
to 1939
when he lived in Europe. He returned to Norway where he passed away 1941.
All information about the general will be appreciated.
