HERMITAGE LECTURE AT SOTHEBY'S

In advance of their upcoming Modern and Contemporary Russian Art auction
on 15th February, Sotheby's will be hosting a series of lectures by
important figures in Russian Contemporary Art.

· Monday 12th February 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Dr. Alla Rosenfeld speaks about Soviet Nonconformist Art and its Social
and Political Context.
Dr Rosenfeld is Vice President, Russian Art Department Sotheby’s New York
and was formerly curator of Russian and Soviet nonconformist art at the
Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Museum, New Jersey.
Lecture in English followed by viewing of works until 4:30.

· Monday 12th February 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Dr. Dmitri Ozerkov poses the relevant question of ‘Can one buy
Contemporary art?’
Dr Ozerkov is Senior Curator of Western European Art at the State
Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg
Lecture in Russian followed by viewing of works until 8:00pm

· Tuesday 13th February 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Natalia Kolodzei speaks about Trends in Russian Art following
Perestroika.
Ms Kolodzei is the Senior Director of the Kolodzei Art Foundation, New
Jersey
Lecture in English followed by viewing of works until 4:30.
