Pushkin House has been established as a home and dedicated showcase for
Russian culture in London, a focus for Anglo-Russian cultural exchange, a
provider of education and information on Russian language and culture, a
resource and networking centre for individuals and institutions. Pushkin
House runs a lively programme of cultural events ranging from concerts,
film, exhibitions, readings and lectures. We are seeking to recruit a
dedicated Director of Fundraising.
The main priority for the Director of Fundraising will be to develop and
implement a major donor strategy in order to support the mainenance and
expansion of Pushkin House and its cultural programme. This will involve
identifying and developing relationships with a range of potential sources
of donations, including trusts, companies and individuals.
This is a new post. The successful candidate will be a vital member of the
management team at Pushkin house, and will report to the Director, but
must relish the opportunity to work independently in creating and
operating the fundraising strategy. You will be based at Pushkin House
but will be required to travel where necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of fundraising within
the charity, education or arts sectors, including experience in major
donor fundraising. Strong inter-personal and negotiating skills are
essential. An interest in Russia and its culture, and communication skills
in Russian, would be highly desirable.
