Russian choral sacred music

Collegium Musicum of London Chamber Choir's next concerts feature music
from the Russian sacred repertoire.

THE THIRD ROME concerts take place on Saturday 7 February at the Church of
Or Most Holy Redeemer in Exmouth Market, Clerkenwell, and on Saturday 28
February at St James's in Piccadilly, and explore the Russian Orthodox
musical inheritance from the 17th century onwards, including sacred music
by Italian-ifluenced composers of the late 1600s, as well as later works
by Sergey Rachmaninov (1873–1943), Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840–1893),
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (1844–1908), Alexander Grechaninov (1864–1956),
and Pavel Chesnokov (1877–1944).
