Dash Arts

25th September 2012

Dear Members,

Dash Arts are London-based arts producers who specialise in producing a wide variety of arts events which introduce London audiences to other cultures and parts of the world that they might not know much about. Among our other projects, the are producing a series of gigs called Dash Cafés. Their new series of Cafés forms part of our new major programme of work, exploring the world of the former Soviet Union. The next upcoming Café in the series is again at Rich Mix (35-47 Bethnal Green Road, E1 6LA), on the evening of Weds 3rd October. It event features a screening of brand new documentary shorts from Georgia and the Caucasus region; and a Q+A with film producer Elhum Shakerifar, and Daniel Gorman of international arts charity Firefly International (http://fireflyinternational.org/). There will also again be music from Russian duo Mazaika, who use violin, accordion and voice to create an intoxicating blend of Russian folk songs, jazz, tango, Gypsy fiddle and Balkan beats ((www.mazaika-music.com). Entry is FREE and no booking is required (but people can email  [removed] if they’d like to let us know they’ll be coming, and to be put on the guest list). Here is the event listing on the Rich Mix website: http://www.richmix.org.uk/whats-on/event/the-dash-cafe-031012

Regards,

Andrew
