Dear Members and Friends,
Here are the details of the Society’s Christmas Party, as promised at the AGM. Sorry this announcement comes later than usual, but a number of members expressed a preference for a change of venue last year and a lot of work has gone into finding a good alternative within budget and with a nice Russian atmosphere.
We have finally decided to hold our party at ‘Sobranie – Russian Bar and Restaurant’, which in the press has been called ‘Probably the best Russian restaurant in London’. It is conveniently located in central London near Victoria Station at 8 Fountain Square, just off Buckingham Palace Road. Our party will take place on Friday, 7 December 2012 at 7 pm for 7.30.
The price will be £27.50 per person, which includes a four-course dinner and a welcome drink, and there will be a cash bar for members to buy wine for their individual consumption. There will be live music with two singers and an opportunity to dance.
Bookings for this event, secured by a cheque payable to the Society, should be made through Ute, please, or you can book online in the usual way. Soon we shall contact all those who book with details of the menus. All dietary requirements can be catered for.
Please book as soon as possible and certainly by Monday, 3 December 2012 because we have to give firm numbers to the restaurant. Please note that refunds cannot be given after this date.
We hope to see you all there for a great social occasion.
