The Spring Issue of the journal went into the post on Friday afternoon and if you haven’t already received it, you should do so very soon. The envelope also contains the Summer Programme of Events.
You should also be able to book for the talks now: all the talks are on our usual website or you can fill in the booking form at the back of the programme and send it to Ute in the usual way.
There is still a small technical hitch with the website; the events are currently being displayed in reverse chronological order, but this will soon be fixed and we thank you for your patience.
Our first event is next Monday, 22 April 2013, when Dr James Muckle will give an illustrated talk on ‘James Arthur Heard and Sarah Biller: Two English Educators’. Come and hear the fascinating story of how these two people worked for deprived children in Russia. Some copies of Dr James Muckle’s latest book, James Arthur Heard and the education of the poor in Russia, which has just been published and reviewed in the current issue of the East-West Review, will be on sale on the evening and James will sign a copy for you.
Your continuing support is much appreciated. Hope to see you on Monday at the usual time – 6.30 for 7 pm!
