Dear Friends,
You are cordially invited to the BEARR Trust Annual Lecture on 20 September 2018, 18:00 at EBRD (One Exchange Square, London EC2A 2JN).
Topic: Putin’s Russia and the Ghosts of the Past
Speaker: Shaun Walker, The Guardian
Shaun Walker is Central and Eastern Europe Correspondent for The Guardian, based in Budapest and covering the wider region. Previously, he spent more than a decade in Moscow, first for The Independent and then for The Guardian. His book on Putin’s Russia, The Long Hangover: Putin’s New Russia and the Ghosts of the Past, was published in January 2018 by Oxford University Press.
The lecture will be followed by a reception, which will allow for further discussion and networking with others with an interest in the field.
The lecture is free, and all are welcome. However, this is The BEARR Trust’s main fund-raising event of the year, and guests are invited to make an advance donation of £25 per person. All proceeds will go towards BEARR’s work to support health and welfare and to strengthen civil society through our Small Grants Scheme.
Book now via EventBrite or see other ways to book on our website http://www.bearr.org/. If you have questions or require assistance please email us at info@nullbearr.org.
