Dear GB-Russia Society member,
Thank you for all responses to last Thursday’s email. In the light of official advice about the developing COVID-19 pandemic since then, the Committee has with regret decided that it has no option but to cancel the 26 March AMM and to postpone all Spring programme talks presently scheduled until the end of April.
The Committee commends to you the Chairman’s Report, which summarises the Society’s activities over the last year, and which is contained within the Report & Accounts that were attached with my email of 12 March (together with the Agenda and Minutes of last year’s AMM). And we look forward any suggestions you may have for the future, in response to the short questionnaire included with the Agenda.
Members will of course receive a credit for postponed talks for which they have booked.
Postponed talks and other talks that we had planned for the Summer season will be rescheduled wherever this is possible. We will advise members of the revised programme in due course by email and via the Society’s website.
The next edition of East-West Review will be published and mailed to members, on schedule, in late April.
The Committee extends its very best wishes to all members in these difficult and extraordinary times and looks forward to resuming – and extending – the Society’s activities in promoting Anglo-Russian understanding as soon as this is feasible.
The GB-Russia Society
